Realm of the Heart · Chapter I

Amaris

The softly beating secret
✦ ✦ ✦

Not everything in the Realm of the Heart shone. Some things beat in silence.

There were loves capable of making stars fall, promises that moved tides, and songs so intense that the moon stopped to listen. But there were also small, hidden, almost secret feelings that didn't want to conquer the world. They just wanted to be kept with tenderness.

Amaris was born from one of them.

It is said that a young woman always carried a word in her throat. A sweet word. Warm. Luminous. A word she never dared to say. It wasn't for lack of love. It was because that love was so delicate that she feared breaking it by naming it.

Every day she walked beside the person who made her heart beat in a different way. They shared silences, soft laughter, glances that lasted a little longer than usual. And every day, when it was time to say what she felt, the young woman kept that word inside herself. Not out of cowardice. But because some souls love in secret first.

The Realm of the Heart watched her patiently. It knew that some feelings need time to find their voice. It knew that not all confessions are born like storms. Some are born like a tiny light, protected between cupped hands.

One night, while everyone slept, the young woman took a golden flower and held it against her chest. "I can't say it yet," she whispered. "But I feel it."

And that phrase, though small, was true. The flower opened. At its center appeared a tiny, brilliant heart, so soft it seemed made of honey and dawn. It didn't shout. It didn't burn. It didn't demand to be seen. It just beat.

Thus, Amaris was born. A jewel created for those who hold within a tender love, a secret hope, or a part of themselves they are not yet ready to show the world. For those who know that what is valuable doesn't always make noise. Sometimes it beats softly. Sometimes it protects itself. Sometimes it waits for the exact moment to bloom.

They say that whoever wears Amaris remembers that not all feelings need haste. That some loves are better nurtured in silence before opening up to the light. And that even what no one sees can be changing us from within.
